國教署致力於推動英語學習走出教室與課本的框架，與日常生活中英語實際使用情境做銜接，並期盼我國中小學學生能增加國際視野及具多元文化的專業知能。利用廣播新聞的即時性，提升學生對時事的關注度，增加學生與國際接軌的機會，爰委託台北國際社區廣播電台(以下稱 ICRT)於 109 學年度辦理「英語廣播互動學習計畫」。製播新聞英語學習廣播節目 ICRT News LunchBox ：就國內外重大新聞及時事議題，製播國中、小英語學習廣播節目，於上課日午餐時間播出(國小 12 時 15 分至 12 時 20 分)，透過 ICRT 廣播平臺即時播出，歡迎按時收聽。
